We try to salvage each tree, but unfortunately not every tree from the city can produce useable hardwood.  The most common issues that arise are excessive rot/decay, evidence of extensive metal hardware within the tree, or the arborists cannot cut the tree down in a manner that produces a log that can be put on a sawmill.  These issues are not apparent until the tree removal is complete, and the logs can be graded at one of the arborists’ facilities.
